  • The Erasmus experience of this centre VITALIS was founded in 1997 to receive European training participants and to exchange experiences within the frame of the European Lifelong Learning Programs Leonardo da Vinci, now Erasmus+, in Leipzig and its surrounding region. Over the last 25 years the historical mansion, Gut Wehlitz, has become an international meeting point focused on the needs of the European training and job markets for both small and medium enterprises and multinational employers. Every year Gut Wehlitz welcomes more than 1500 participants, both students and staff, who are taking part in many different kinds of mobility projects, professional development workshops and job shadowing. With our 25 academically and professionally skilled employees, we are able to offer many different projects in the professional fields of Mechatronics and Electronics, Computer Applications, IT and Networking and Digital Administration, Automotive, Metalwork and Construction, Gardening and Forestry as well as in the Service professions of Hotels, Hair and Beauty, Early Childhood and Nursing Care.

Organisation Description

VITALIS was founded in 1997 to receive European participants from schools and vocational training organisations for the exchange of experiences in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. Over the last 25 years our historical manor, Gut Wehlitz, has become an international meeting point on the outskirts of Leipzig, focused on the needs of the European training and job markets for both small and medium enterprises and multinational employers.

Every year Gut Wehlitz welcomes more than 1500 participants, both students and staff, who are taking part in many different kinds of mobility projects, professional development workshops and job shadowing. With our 20 academically and professionally skilled employees, we are able to offer many different projects iunder the umbrella of secondary school Careers Education, Work Experience, Lifelong Learning, 21st Century Skills and in professional fields such as Mechatronics and Electronics, Computer Applications, IT and Networking and Digital Administration, Automotive, Metalwork and Construction, Gardening and Forestry as well as in the Service professions of Hotels, Hair and Beauty, Early Childhood and Nursing Care.

We are able to place many participants and run mobilities with our own mentors in the on-site seminar rooms, workshops, studios and salons as well as working with local partners in some of the service professions. VITALIS and our local partner organisations fulfil and meet the safety standards for German health and safety at work. VITALIS is as a full member of the chamber of industry and commerce and the coordinator for the partner organisations receiving interns in the frame of European programs.
