Organisation Description

Who we are
The Lycée des Métiers du Bâtiment et de l’Éco-construction de Pleyben is a French upper secondary vocational school located in Brittany (western France), specializing in construction, wood trades, and sustainable building techniques.

We offer high-quality training programs in:

  • Carpentry (Bac Pro Charpente)

  • Cabinetmaking & Joinery (Bac Pro Menuiserie)

  • Other construction-related disciplines, including eco-construction, energy efficiency, and sustainable materials.

Our learners
Our students are between 16 and 20 years old, pursuing a “Baccalauréat Professionnel” (equivalent to EQF level 4).
They undergo both theoretical classes and hands-on training, with regular internships in local companies.

We are currently looking for new international partners to host our students for work placements of 3 to 4 weeks, mainly in:

  • Wood construction

  • Timber frame housing

  • Interior woodwork / joinery

Our international goals

We are just beginning our Erasmus+ mobility programme and are looking for:

  • Vocational schools with similar training programs (woodwork, construction, carpentry)

  • Craft companies and SMEs in the timber and eco-construction sector

  • Partners interested in developing long-term collaboration (student exchanges, job shadowing, project partnerships)
