  • The Erasmus experience of this centre Since 2014 we are  in Erasmus projects as a result of obtaining the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). Our main experience has been student and staff mobilities for training. Since 2022 we are an accredited center in School level (K -120-SCH) and Vocational Education Training (K-120-VET) with projects in all the levels. The IES Valle del Jerte, in the field of professional training, focuses on the teaching of Professional Studies at different educational levels (basic, middle and higher) in the Computer Science and Communications family. The main objective of these studies is to train students to enter the labor market and also to be able to contribute, through their work, to the development and progress of society. In a global, open and multicultural world, all the experience that students and teachers may have is essential, since this experience will be directly reflected when students practice the profession they are learning.

Organisation Description

Our educational center is the IES Valle del Jerte, located in the city of Plasencia, in the north of Extremadura. It is a public center dependent on the Government of Extremadura.

At the IES VALLE DEL JERTE, Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) arre taught. Also baccalaureate courses are taught in the modalities of humanities, social sciences and sciences.

The IES Valle del Jerte focuses on the teaching of Professional Studies at different educational levels (basic, middle and higher) in the Computer Science and Communications family. The main objective of these studies is to train students to enter the labor market and also to be able to contribute, through their work, to the development and progress of society.
In a global, open and multicultural world, all the experience that students and teachers may have is essential, since this experience will be directly reflected when students practice the profession they are learning.
