Organisation Description
The high school (IES) is located in Carballiño (Ourense), a rural area of 26,000 inhabitants in inland Galicia. It is one of two public high schools in the area and has an enrollment of about 580 students. The educational offerings can be divided into four areas:
1- Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate (BAC).
2- Adult Education (ESA) (in two formats: in-person, covering four ESO modules, and blended learning, covering the Baccalaureate).
3- Vocational Training (FP) (in two formats: standard and intensive dual) with basic (GB), intermediate (GM), and advanced (GS) levels divided into four fields: Administration, Electricity and Electronics, Vehicle Maintenance, and Welding. In FP, GS and GM students must complete 500 hours of on-the-job training under the supervision of a tutor (equivalent to 90 days), while GB students must complete 400 hours.
4- Language School (with English classes and a branch in our center).
