The Erasmus experience of this centre The IES Maestro Juan Calero has two simultaneous ERASMUS projects this school year: on one hand, the school mobility project KA 122 SCH that started last year and will end in March, and on the other, the implementation of mobilities as part of the Erasmus accreditation obtained for Vocational Training KA 120 VET and KA 121 VET.
From October 6th to 11th, the last short-term mobility for school groups of the “From Monesterio to Europe” KA 122 SCH project will take place, with Monterotondo, in the Lazio region of Italy, as the destination. Previously, two teachers made a job shadowing experience at the same institute where our students will attend in October, the IS Piazza della Resistenza. There, we observed their inclusion support tools, their working methods, and they introduced us to a multi-country project called FLIPP, based on flipped classroom learning. This February, some students and teachers from the Italian institute will come to visit us here in Monesterio, just as the students from France did last school year.
The KA 120 VET accreditation allows us to apply for mobilities over the next three years. This year, we will carry out two-month mobilities for students from the intermediate level APSD (Atención a personas en situación de dependencia) (Care of the elderly/disable adults) cycle, as we did two school years ago, but it also includes a new feature: the possibility of conducting group mobilities. We are considering carrying out these mobilities with the Basic Vocational Training program (FP Básica en reparación y mantenimiento) (Repair and maintenance). There will also be job shadowing for teachers and courses. The countries being considered are Portugal, Italy, Germany, and possibly Finland.
