Opportunities right now:
- We are looking for French-speaking partners who use training companies in their vocational training of people with disabilities, for a training company project in the office management field. Please contact Mathieu Ratajczak, firstname.lastname@example.org.
+++ We NEVER work with service providers. We are looking for other training centres for young people with psychological impairments for mutual exchanges. +++
The European Vocational Training Centre (Europäisches Berufsbildungswerk) Bitburg is an international institution for vocational rehabilitation, according to §35 of the German Code of Social Law IX. Young people who have a mental health issue or chronic disease – which is of a nature or gravity that makes special advancement necessary in order to be able to successfully finish a vocational training – have a legal right to claim a vocational measure in a “Berufsbildungswerk” like the Euro-BBW.
We are located in Bitburg/Germany, close to the borders of France, Luxembourg and Belgium, in the Eifel area. The promoting organization of the Euro-BBW is the German Red Cross Rhineland-Palatinate.
The Euro-BBW offers vocational orientation and training for ca. 250 young adults with (impending) mental disorder and/or physical disability, from Germany and the neighbouring countries like Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Netherlands. We operate in the German dual system of apprenticeships which means that all trainings are recognised by the state.
Since its establishment in 1998, the Euro-BBW has coordinated and taken part in a variety of national and European projects. We also offer foreign language training as part of our vocational school curriculum, we are counselled by a transnational advisory board, and we employ staff from several nations.
In 2018 & 2021 we have been awarded the Erasmus+ VET Mobility Charter for our European activities in the framework of Erasmus+ and beyond.
