Organisation Description

The “Radu Greceanu” National College, located in the old city center of Slatina, has 970 students and 63 teachers. It is an establishment that celebrates 137 years of existence and which is deeply rooted in the history of the city by continuing to develop a more modern and more dynamic identity, through cultural and educational exchange within the European Union and by having as main objective to share and enjoy the many educational perspectives EU offers to pupils and teachers.

The school offers learning programmes divided under several general education profiles: Computer Science and Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Foreign Languages and Literature,  Philology and History. All students can choose to study French, German or English as a second foreign language, the first foreign language being either French or English depending on the chosen course.

Another asset of our establishment is the concern for ecology and permanent involvement in projects aimed at forest and city nature protection, at increasing park and green areas by planting trees and shrubs, at responsible energy consumption and waste management, as part of local campaigns initiated by the city council or of international campaigns such as “Let’s do it, Romania”, “Eco planting tree day” or “The Youth in the Forests of Europe”.

Also, our school offers its students the possibility to take optional courses in theatre, drawing, sports, debate or robotics, to become involved in many other extracurricular activities taking place in the clubs run by the teachers of the school, and also to participate in national and international competitions.
