  • The Erasmus experience of this centre Since 2019 we are hosting an Erasmus+ program sending apprentices of all professions and from all over Germany abroad. Since 2020 we also offer international apprenticeships via the federal German government program Berufsbildung ohne Grenzen (Training Without Borders). Since 2021 we are an accredited Erasmus+ institution and have commited ourselves to deepen our relations to european and international educational institutions.

Organisation Description

We are a subsidiary of the “Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerkskammer) Osnabrück – Emsland – Grafschaft Bentheim“ and local trade and craft organisations. We are providing vocational training as part of the German dual system of vocational education mainly for apprentices from Lower Saxony’s administrative districts of “Emsland” and “Grafschaft Bentheim”. Contrary to the role of vocational schools in the German dual system the focus of our courses is on hands-on training in specific skills. We also offer advanced vocational training and education for employees.

We are located in northwestern Germany close to the border of the Netherlands and have locations in the cities Lingen, Meppen and Nordhorn. In our rural area the strongest economic branches are metalworking, construction, plastics processing and logistics. Our institution has a staff of around 80 employees and very close ties to local companies, especially in the manufacturing sector. The pictures below give an impression of the office buildings at our locations. At each location we have a number of well equipped training workshops matching the different professions we offer training for.
