  • The Erasmus experience of this centre The school actively participates in national and international projects and cooperates with partners from many European countries through programmes such as Erasmus+. The institution focuses on high-quality vocational education and the development of skills needed for successful integration into the labour market and lifelong learning. Alytus Vocational Training Centre not only sends students abroad for internships, but also hosts students and teachers from other countries. We currently have two Erasmus+ accreditations – in the VET sector and in the School Education sector. We are always looking for new partners and are open to cooperation. We regularly organise mobilities for our students and teachers, and we are also happy to host visiting students and teachers in our school.

Organisation Description

Alytus Vocational Training Centre (APRC) is a public educational institution established in 2004 and one of the largest vocational training centres in southern Lithuania. The Centre provides basic and secondary education as well as initial and continuing vocational training programmes.
More than 1600 students study at the Centre every year and develop professional skills required for the labour market. The school offers around 30 vocational training programmes in different sectors such as engineering, construction, services, beauty, health care and agriculture. Study programmes include professions such as car mechanic, electrician, welder, mechatronics technician, computer network technician, chef, waiter and bartender, hairdresser, beautician, massage therapist, nursing assistant and others.
APRC consists of three main departments: the Engineering and Services Department, the Technology Department and the Varėna Vocational Training Department. The Centre also operates two sectoral practical training centres where students gain practical skills using modern technologies and equipment.
