  • The Erasmus experience of this centre At IES Sierra Luna, internationalization is a core priority. We are actively embedding European mobility and cross-border collaboration into our school's culture. Current Project (KA122-VET): We are currently beneficiaries of an active KA122-VET project (Short-term mobility project for VET learners and staff). Through this grant, our institution is successfully managing student learning mobilities, internships, and staff job shadowing, ensuring strict adherence to Erasmus+ quality standards. Next Steps & Erasmus Accreditation: Demonstrating our long-term commitment to internationalization, we are currently in the process of securing Erasmus Accreditation in both Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Secondary Education. This strategy will allow us to establish continuous, sustainable, and high-quality mobility pathways for years to come. We have the administrative background, enthusiasm, and structural framework ready to host incoming staff/students or partner with European schools on joint initiatives.

About Us

Welcome to IES Sierra Luna, a vibrant Vocational Education and Training (VET) institution located in Los Barrios (Cádiz), right in the heart of the Campo de Gibraltar region in southern Andalusia, Spain.

Our center is strategically located in one of Spain’s most prominent industrial and commercial hubs, just minutes away from Gibraltar. This unique geographic and economic setting offers an inspiring backdrop for vocational learning, surrounded by major maritime, energy, manufacturing, and international trade activities.

Our Academic Offer

We offer high-quality, practical vocational programs designed to meet current market demands in both the industrial and business sectors:

🛠️ Basic VET (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Básico)

  • Manufacturing of Metal Components (Fabricación de Elementos Metálicos): A foundational hands-on program focused on metalworking, assembly, and industrial manufacturing basics.

💼 Intermediate VET (Ciclos Formativos de Grado Medio)

  • Administrative Management (Gestión Administrativa): Training future professionals in business administration, digital office management, finance, and customer service.

  • Commercial Activities (Actividades Comerciales): Preparing students for modern retail, digital marketing, sales management, and logistics.

  • Welding and Boiler Making (Soldadura y Calderería): A flagship industrial program delivering specialized skills in metal fabrication and industrial joining techniques. To accommodate our growing student body and industrial demand, this cycle is offered in both morning and afternoon shifts.
