  • The Erasmus experience of this centre We have been working in national and international education for over 30 years. We have focussed on the field of vocational education and training. In Erasmus + and its predecessor programmes, we have hosted various trainees and teachers from all programme countries since 1993 and organised courses, job shadowing and short and long-term internships. Since February 2022, we ourselves have held Erasmus + accreditation in the VET sector. This enables us to offer our participants and staff the opportunity to go abroad as well. The first mobilities have already been organised. Special features of our facility are: our own dormitory for the accommodation of the trainees - teachers stay in the co-operating hotel and the offer of self-catering, half or full board. Our programmes are tailored to the individual wishes and ideas of the project partners. We currently have 20 partners from all over the EU. In addition to the Erasmus + programme, we also work in the European Solidarity Corps. We have been receiving and sending young people here since February 2021. We have the areas of migration/integration, social affairs and rehabilitation, international and after-school care.

Organisation Description

The fuu-sachsen founded on 01 April 1991 as a nonprofit educational institution in Chemnitz/ Germany.
The fuu-sachsen as a state approved education provider is successfully active in the fields of vocational preparation, vocational training and professional development. We plan, analyse and implement courses, seminars and mobility projects (as hosting organisation) under the EU program for education and training with partners abroad in various professional fields.
Our educational spectrum covers the fields:
 Grammar schools
 Health professions
 Vocational training and vocational special school
 Vocational preparation, vocational education and training
 International study College
 International mobility projects

Since this year we have the recognition of the Quality Label in the European Solidarity Corps, and we can accept and send volunteers from all program countries. The areas of expertise here are divided into:
 After-school care – care for primary school children
 Benedict School – work with people with migrant background in the language area
 Social projects – work with the long-term unemployed, people with a migration background and those who can work
 International projects – work with participants of Erasmus + and from China
 Initial training – work with rehabilitation participants for professional integration

The range of fuu-sachsen is aimed at a wide target, customer group: from disabled and disadvantaged young people, schoolchildren, students, teaching staff young adults with and without qualification, unemployed adults to employees and entrepreneurs as well as the European Union.
Reaffirming the F+U’s commitment to high quality standards, all departments of fuu-sachsen are TÜV (Technical Supervisory Association) certified and comply with the regulations of DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and AZAV.
